i hiked a beast of a trail yesterday. it was open but had been damage by wild fires. the sign at the entrance said that the area hadn't been cleared, there were fallen trees and washed out areas but i have to tell you it was incredibly beautiful. you could still see a little bit of the damage but mother nature is resilient. it was 3.5 miles in and 3.5 back out. the guide said moderate. that was not a trail i would suggest to any of my moderate level friends. ( i don't plan to check these sites much. i'm very busy in the real world, but i'm not finding what i'm looking for in my area so i'm leaving a message in a bottle.)
