I used to camp a lot as a kid. I recently took a road trip with the goal of reaching the Grand Canyon, and instead of paying out the wazoo for hotels, I bought some camping gear. While on the road, I did some small hiking and realized just how much I missed it.

So now, I intend to take regular "day trips" to places near me, and maybe the occasional three day trip to somewhere big (like Guadalupe Peak). I need someone who can go with me, someone who has a flexible schedule during the week or a job they can do from on the road.

I do have my trusty Fiona (a Ford Fiesta), who gets 35-40 MPG on the highway and has plenty of room for two people and their gear, and a two person tent. I'm terrible at packing it up right now, so I need someone to teach me lol

People who join me need to have a sense of adventure, a willingness to say, "What's that? Let's go check it out!" even if it's not something we planned. I'm not looking for romance, just a friend to travel with, but if it leads to something more I'm ok with it.

The grand goal is to take a three week road trip in April or May of next year, culminating in 3-5 days of hiking the Grand Canyon, with a lot of time just wandering the Southwest before and after.
